Item Description:	"November 25, 1977" Printed letterhead: "Suite 500, 2011 I Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20006" George Haley starting working at Washingtion Office of the law firm of "Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell & Hippel" in August 1977. Handwritten letter in ink thanking them for their note in which they expressed their like of the book "Roots". The Cushing Library/Area Studies/Africana copy is housed in a four-flap with The man who wouldn't quit / Alex Haley. Also contains two pieces of ephemera and a bookseller's description.
