Description
Summary:"This manual was prepared on the basis of research and clinical experience as an aid in teaching the clinical use of the Thematic Apperception Test. Its purpose is to introduce a technique of analysis and interpretation that has proved useful in practice. One of the fundamental assumptions underlying the technique presented here is that the principles involved in analyzing and interpreting TAT protocols are, in large measure, no different from those employed in studying behavior. This implies that the method will have to be modified and refined as we continue to make progress in our knowledge of the fields of personality and psychopathology and, of course, as we continue to learn more about the test itself. Although the method presented has been found useful in working with children's protocols, the author has limited himself to a discussion of those pictures that were designed for adults, since most of his experience has been with this group"--Preface.
