Description
Summary:In this session, therapist Jeffrey E. Young uses Schema Therapy to help a married couple with children try to understand each other's upbringing and parental influence in order to help them acknowledge the other's special needs and priorities in the family. Through the use of imagery and role playing, Dr. Young helps the couple develop some insight on their schema development regarding childhood and adult responsibilities in their respective families. The session ends with Dr. Young participating in role playing exercises so that both clients can "move to the middle" in terms of their expectations of the other.
