Summary:Ann Vernon works with a single mother of four who is experiencing guilt about her parenting and anxiety about her ability to support her family. She is in the process of divorcing an abusive husband who refuses to see all but one of the children. She has arranged counseling for her children and takes an active role in their schooling, despite working two jobs and making preparations to return to school. In Session 3, Vernon reviews homework from the previous session and commends the client on her assertive behavior with the school principal. She also helps the client deal with her anger toward her ex-husband.
