Description
Summary:Kirk J. Schneider demonstrates existential-humanistic therapy techniques with a middle-aged African American man in his early 50s who is dissatisfied with his position in life. After being divorced for several years and intermittently unemployed, the client seeks to re-establish his family relationships and career. In this second session, Schneider and the client review the goals of reconnecting with his family and developing his career in photography. The client reports that he and his ex-wife are considering a reconciliation. Schneider notes that this is integral to his pursuit of life satisfaction but recommends that the client and his ex-wife be clear about their needs and willingness to address each other's needs to avoid repeating past patterns.
