Description
Summary:Dr. David J. Cain continues therapy with a client who is looking for ways to handle stress, particularly in relation to his partner's stress. The client discusses his week, where there was an angry emotional outburst with his partner. Everything was discussed between them, and the client said though he feels better after the outbursts, he is shameful and guilty afterwards, because he handles the situation poorly. Dr. Cain and he discuss ways to head off those outbursts before they happen, and that it is better to deal with emotions when they come up, rather than push them down. The client is encouraged to find answers to his questions himself, rather than expect the doctor to provide an answer. The client also discusses the fact that the main stress he has problems with involves intimate relationships, that stressors from work or school or other circumstances don't bother him.
