Description
Summary:Dr. David J. Cain continues therapy with a client who wishes to learn how to better deal with stress. The client begins by discussing his family, with which he is very close, and its changing dynamics, since most of his generation are having kids. He also wants children, and wonders where he will be able to fit into the new family dynamic. He also expresses his worries about how society at large will view him as a parent, and doubts his own fitness for parenting. Dr. Cain discusses with him the fact that he has tried to prepare himself for parenthood, and that by giving these issues thought he has already begun the journey toward good parenting. Dr. Cain helps him see the ways in which he is prepared and acknowledges that the client likes to have control over his environment, but that sometimes total control is not possible.
