Description
Summary:Dr. Robert A. Neimeyer continues therapy with a woman in her 40's whose father has recently died. She is having problems with depression, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed by her grief. Dr. Neimeyer checks with her to see if her situation has changed over the past week, and it has gotten a bit better. She is still having problems with her relatives, as they have been discussing disposition of jointly held property, but this will be finished soon. Dr. Neimeyer encourages her to write more about her grief experience - to take ownership of her feelings and reactions - and her power to change them. They discuss the fact that the loss will remain, and so will some of the pain, but how to sit with that in a peaceful place.
