Description
Summary:Dr. P. Scott Richards works with a woman who describes the importance of her faith in dealing with her husband's recent illness and the impact it has had on their lives. During his treatment and recuperation, she has had to take on more responsibility in managing their company. Despite feeling tired, she says that her strength in coping with and handling these responsibilities is a result of her strong faith. She describes her past abusive marriage that ended in divorce and how she did not have the courage to leave. The client feels that her independence and belief in herself has led her to a new marriage that is loving. Richards affirms her courage and strength in handling the extra responsibilities, but encourages her to take time to care for herself, to ask for support from others, and to check in with a doctor about her tiredness.
