Description
Summary:William Richard Miller interviews a middle-aged male who is a former alcohol abuser and has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. The client has been able to successfully maintain sobriety and control of his mood swings through a combination of working the Twelve Step Program, in which he is still very active, and use of prescription medications. He describes strategies and techniques he has used for maintaining sobriety and his own active involvement within the Twelve Step Program as a sponsor and volunteer. He also discusses his spiritual beliefs and his own definition of sobriety as a positive state of mind rather than simply the absence of drinking.
