Description
Summary:Bertram Kober has become known throughout Germany for his photo essays which frame political and cultural conditions in images that are both poetic and explosive. Travelling through twelve countries, he photographed transmitting and receiving installations with a sculptural presence and absurd configurations, images which are now collected in this illustrated volume. The artist presents the docking sites of media transmission in a stark fashion, referencing their ubiquity. The public nature of our transmissions, and hence of a part of ourselves, lies likes an invisible yet genuine and explosive film behind the images.
