| Item Description: | Cataloged from an imperfect copy. Lacking title-leaf, numerous preliminary leaves and all leaves following number 437; numerous leaves stained and/or torn; text affected. Title from running title; place and date of publication conjectured by cataloger. The spellings, abbreviated words, and the type used suggest an early date of publication. Leaves 359 (verso) to 362 (verso) describe the battle of Lepanto; thus the date of publication cannot be earlier than 1571. The Spanish Wikipedia gives the dates of the first printing of Villegas' Flos sanctorum as 1578. Woodcuts; decorated Initials; printed notes in margin.
