Item Description:	Title from label on cover. Progressive color proofs presented in an accordian fold, illustrates in each of its successive pages the process used to print wood-cuts. Each page shows the addition of a new block, printed in a new color. The blocks are overprinted until the completed full-color wood-cut on the final page. Each block also printed separeatly on facing pages. Print shows two men poling sampans on the Ohta River beneath a full moon. Taken from the series: Kisokaidō rokujū kyūtsugi no uchi : 69 stages of the Kisokaido, #32, Seba. Originally published between 1834 and 1842. The Cushing Library/Lowman/Book Design copy contains a bookseller's description. Purchased for the Cushing Library/Lowman/Book Design collection by The Cushing Library.
