This book explores the case of longer-term overseas Americans, migrants in France, Germany and the United Kingdom. What has led them to leave the United States? How does their integration in Europe proceed? This book explores both of these questions in depth, while also examining the case of American political engagement in the United States. The book draws on almost 900 survey responses and over 100 in-depth interviews carried out in Berlin, Paris and London.
