Summary:Set just before Poland's communist regime came to an end, the central character is a movie censor, a tired, lonely man, whose wife has left him and who finds himself unable to control the situation when the actors of the film he is screening rebel and refuse to speak their lines. When someone notices the resemblence to Woody Allen's Purple Rose of Cairo, they run that film but a mixup causes the American characters to enter the Polish film.
