Description
Summary:Considers possible legal consequences of Dec. 15, 2009, EPA determination that combined greenhouse gas emissions from new, light-duty motor vehicles "cause or contribute to air pollution that may reasonably be anticipated to endanger public health or welfare" as specified in Clean Air Act (CAA) section 202(a). Examines additional CAA sections that are impacted by EPA endangerment findings, in light of concerns that EPA endangerment determination and the emission standards to follow will trigger a "cascade" of unacceptable regulatory consequences under other CAA provisions. Lists CAA provisions with no endangerment trigger.
