Summary:	Discusses and analyzes changes to federal legislation on pesticide use and pesticide residue on food by Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA). FQPA aims to facilitate registration and reregistration of pesticides for minor uses under Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), to improve data collection relative to residue risks to children, to provide for Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) tolerances for pesticide residues on food, and to more closely link FIFRA, FFDCA, and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on issue.
