Summary:	CRS study, prepared for the Subcom on International Organizations, on human rights issues in international relations from 1945 to 1976. Examines the historical evolution of international human rights, efforts of international organizations to promote human rights, and human rights considerations in U.S. foreign policy. Appendices (p. 41-58) contain descriptive lists of UN human rights documents (p. 41-46), and texts of human rights provisions of enacted U.S. foreign affairs legislation (p. 47-58).
