Emphasizes report section on suspended housing programs, including HUD Sections 235 and 236 providing assistance for homebuyers and for project renters, rent supplements, low-rent public housing, and Farmers Home Administration Section 504 interest-credit loans for home purchases or rehabilitation. (p. 18-61) Also analyzes Administration recommendations regarding the Federal Government's role in housing, housing finance, changing housing costs and housing consumption, indirect Government housing activities, housing activities of State and local governments, and structure and technology in the housing industry (p. 62-106). |
