Part 1 (p. 9-483), covering Federal agency reorganizations, is arranged alphabetically by subject area with individual reorganization proposal entries ordered chronologically by Congress. Includes sectional tables of content and cross references for each subject.
Part 2 (p. 484-562), relating to Executive Office of the President reorganizations, is chronologically arranged and duplicates relevant entries from Part 1 interspersed with actions and proposals too broad for particular subject designation.
Appendices (20 p. following p. 562) contain documents relating to Carter administration reorganization plans, including text of S. 626, the Reorganization Act of 1977.
Includes (10 p.) alphabetical agency and executive unit title index.
