Of the many continuations and reprints of this publication by other writers and publishers during the next ten years, Wilkes was not known to be associated with any, including those attributed to Brooke and Bingley. He apparently edited and corrected a London folio edition of 1763, which he printed himself on his private press, and was also associated with the Dublin edition of 1766, and a 4 volume reissue of 1772 (cf. DNB). Another 'no. 46', dated May 1763, was probably written by J.W. Brooke, who continued to issue a paper under this title until 1764.
The first issue of this paper appeared immediately following the first number of The Briton, conducted by Tobias Smollett. Isssues consist of political essays attacking the government. Wilkes ended his connection with this publication during the legal troubles which resulted in his expulsion from Parliament and exile to France.

Related Items:The popularity of this paper led to immediate continuations published by E. Sumpter and attributed to J.W. Brooke (28 May 1763 to -6 December 1766), and another published by W. Bingley (10 May 1768 to - 11 May 1771). Wilkes had nothing to do with these later publications.
