| Item Description: | Reproduction of the originals from the Burney Collection, the British Library (London). Subtitle dropped after number 13 (10 Mar. 1733). Richard Hooker is a pseudonym for the editor, William Webster. Imprint from undated colophon; some issues dated according to Lady Day dating. Printed by Charles Jephson until 1737; with number 270 (24 Feb. 1737) imprint changes to read in part: "Printed and sold by H[enry]. Woodfall, jun. next the Rose and Crown in Little-Britain; ... advertisements are also taken in by J[oseph]. Fisher, bookseller, facing Tom's Coffee-house in Cornhill". Booksellers' names and addresses vary. At foot of page 1 within square brackets: "Price two pence". No link made by NCBEL made between this title and 'The New weekly miscellany', but the title, attribution of author/editorship and dating suggest they are related. Description based on: Numb.
