John Morphew continued the publication when Steele and Addison ceased to be associated with it after number 271. He was joined by William Harrison as editor from number 285-330 (3 Feb.-19 May 1711).

Two issues, numbered 272 and 273 and bearing the imprint "sold by John Baker" were issued as rivals to this Morphew continuation. Anne Baldwin printed a further rival series which began with number 1 (13 Jan. 1711) and ceased with number 6 (30 Jan. 1711) and on 3 Feb. 1711 she apparently became an alternative printer to the John Morphew series, with the same text and numbering for number 285-330 (cf. NCBEL).
Numb. 279 is "By Mrs. Jenny Distaff, Half-Sister to Mr. Bickerstaff".
