| Item Description: | Reproduction of the originals from the Burney Collection, the British Library (London). Some issues lack sub-title. Imprint varies. Woodcut below title; each volume has different woodcut. Below imprint: Price three half-pence. One of the two oldest provincial papers in Lincolnshire; driven out of business by: Howgrave's Stamford Mercury, in 1732. Although the second title is sometimes considered to be a continuation of the first, they were competitors. Cf. Wiles, Cranfield.
