Cf. NCBEL. With a half-title. After imprint, in parentheses: Price three pence. Published in response to Richard Steele's 'The Plebeian'; cf. also 'The Old Whig', attributed to Joesph Addison. Although numbered, suggesting it was published serially, the presentation appears to ape that of 'The Plebeian' and also suggests that these were simply numbered tracts published in response to 'The Plebeian'.
