Summary:	Reviews funding status for military operations in advance of FY2008 supplemental appropriations, and reviews supplemental appropriations legislation for Iraq war and Congressional conditions on funding. Assesses how long regular FY2008 defense appropriations will last; and considers effects of H.R. 4156, to provide $50 billion "bridge fund." Examines alternatives for extending operations, including transferal of additional funds to Army and USMC; slowing the pace of combat operations in Iraq; invoking the Feed and Forage Act, which permits obligations of funds in advance of appropriations; and using unprecedented U.S. Code 165 Title 10 authorities to assign support operations to other services.
