| Summary: | Updated NASA report of Mar. 1974 (see 1974 CIS/Index S122-2) on energy-related R&D underway within NASA in FY75 and coordinated with and now partially funded by ERDA. Section 2 compiles summaries of individual energy-related R&D projects being conducted in FY75, including those conducted in cooperation with other agencies under funding transfer arrangements. These include: work in solar energy utilization; energy conversion, transmission, and storage; transportation propulsion systems; energy and environment conservation; energy resources extraction; and energy systems analysis (p. 16-82). Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6 summarize programs which are directly relevant to the generation, transmission, and management of energy in non-aerospace applications; broader aspects of programs and longer-term program milestones are identified (p. 83-126). Section 7 consist of a summary information table on the resources utilized in FY74 and FY75 in carrying out projects directly funded by NASA and those carried out under reimbursable arrangements for other agencies (p. 127-129). Section 8 contains a list of acronyms (p. 130-131). |
