S. 1740, to authorize the FCC to regulate charges and services of common carriers for point-to-point circuits and for the use of wires in broadcasting or any type of radio communication. S. 1733, to eliminate the FCC requirement of a prehearing notice for the applicant or interested party. S. 1737, to grant the FCC the authority to impose fines for rule violations of common carrier safety. S. 1898, to provide for a pregrant hearing procedure and to require a time limitation for FCC response to petitions for grant rehearings.
