Memorial of the Legislature of the State of South Carolina, remonstrating against the passing of laws by Congress increasing the duties upon importations for the encouragement of domestic manufactures, against the exercise of the general power to construct roads and canals, either with or without the consent of the States, and against the appropriation of moneys by Congress for the Colonization Society or in any manner promoting its objects as being unauthorized by and contrary to the Constitution of the United States.
