| Item Description: | Printer's name from Pforzheimer Catalogue. The first leaf and the last two leaves are blank. Text continuous despite pagination. "Coelum Brittanicum" has separate dated title page; pagination and register are continuous. The designer for the masque was Inigo Jones, whose name appears on the internal title page for "Cœlum Britannicum." "This edition through Sig. O, page 206, is a paginary reprint with slight variations of the first ... At that point eight new poems have been added (pages 207-222). Their titles are given in Grolier CLub Collations where it is pointed out that the poem on pp. 207-9, "To my Lord Admirall on his late sicknesse, and recovery", here first printed, is by Waller"--Pforzheimer Catalogue. Leaf S6r is numbered "219" and last word on S6v is "Musicians". Variant: S6r is a cancel; it is unnumbered and last word on S6v is "Musitians." |
