The maps are bound opposite to the order of the List of Illustrations, as per Hammond and Anderson. Chapter VII header is uncorrected and reads as 'Chapter VI' This book features the 4 color and 9 black and white illustrations by Tolkien.
The Cushing Library/Science Fiction copy [A14853536248] has "This Book Crafted By: Andre Norton" sticker on first page, signed by Norton. "Andre Norton's copy" is written on the first page.
