Letter from the Secretary of State, transmitting a list of the names of persons who have invented any new or useful art or machine, manufacture, or composition of matter, or any improvement thereon; and to whom patents have been issued for the same, from the 31st day of December, 1818, to the 1st day of January, 1820, with the dates and general objects of such patents, and also the residence of the patentees, as far as could be ascertained.
