Abstract:From February 1979 through August 1979, the author served a professional internship with Hunter Associates, Incorporated, 5630 Yale Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75206. Working as an engineer, the author was involved with a variety of projects in the area of public works. His activities on these projects are described in this report. Major activities included performing the field investigation and writing the final report for a sanitary sewer survey, acting as a liaison between a client (a city), a contractor, and Hunter Associates during the construction of improvements to the client's water system; conducting a preliminary investigation and writing a rough draft of a proposal for water treatment; and revising a portion of the geometric design of a city street.
