She studied English, German, and Italian and has training in Latin, Greek and the Classical. She has taught at all levels and participated in conferences and seminars in Buenos Aires and abroad. Bornemann's work has been translated and published in Israel, Japan, and the United States. Bornemann explains how children's literature has become devalued through some of its own authors. She accredits children's books for leading to her where she is and tells of her parents influence on her literary life. She and Peicovich exchange experiences they shared with a German author, she explains her current living accomodations, and tells of her parentage.
