Summary:A recording of Gabriel Garcia Marquez reciting his own work is played. Esteban Peicovich interviews Alicia Ugarte and Guillermo Cácharo, who have recently authored their first works Mujer en una ventana and No habia luna esa noche, respectively. Ugarte was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and currently is a Letters professor, a journalist for Circulo de la Prensa, also teaches French, and is a song writer. Each author shares what they feel it was possible their first words were. Ugarte explains the role her parents played in her interest in literature since her infancy. Cácharo also shares what he remembers of his initial interest and tells how his literary work began. Ugarte reads a few of her poems and Cácharo reads Futuro imperfecto from his own work. Each of the poets share how they feel about poetry.
