| Summary: | Esteban Peicovich recites a quote by Vladimir Nabokov. Peicovich interviews essayist and critic Diana Paladino and screen writer David Oubiña. Oubiña graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in Letters. He has taught at the University of Theatre at New York University. Throughout his career Oubiña has compiled work about screenplays, contributed to various works in various collective volumes in relevance to film art, and he regularly publishes in specialized magazines in the country and abroad. Paladino is a professor at the University of Buenos Aires and co-author of Cine argentino en democracia (1994), and Cien anos de cine (1996). Oubiña explains the importance of word usage in screenplays and Paladino draws the differences between theatre and film. Paladino also explains why she is an essayist and Oubiña talks about the inadaptability of some movies. They both explain the construction of sound given to an image and its fundamentality to film. They each also tell of the kind of dramatic work they enjoy and briefly talk about radio. Paladino talks about how to reach the contemporary audience in theatre and Oubiña reads unnamed work. |
