Summary:Esteban Peicovich interviews flutist, composer, teacher, researcher, and writer Alejandro Martino. Martino was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1954. He is a member of the National Academy of Tango and the director of the Pop Music School of Avellaneda. Martino talks about the use of instruments and their masquerading purposes. He talks about his work Sononidades Argentinas en la flauta traversa (1995) and about the industrialized flute. He also talks about the combined usage of instrumentation and voice. Martino talks about another one of his works entitled Veinticinco variaciones sobre un tema de Augusto Monterroso. He tells about the initial publishing of one of the stories in this work and Peicovich reads one from it. Martino talks about the creation of his latest work Sol de patio, a version/transcription of his own work. Peicovich reads a review of this work by Vicente Batista and Martino reads an excerpt.
