This copy was part of the library of Vicente Salvá y Perez, of Valencia." Bound with: Obras del excelente poeta Garcilasso de la Vega / con anotaciones y emiendas del maestro Francisco Sanchez...En Madrid: Iuan de la Cuesta, 1612. Printing year transposed from head of imprint on title page. Title vignette (printer's device); ornamental woodcut initials; roman and italic types. Preliminaries include license to print and certification of payment of paper tax by royal notary Juan Alvarez del Marmol, dated Jan. 28 and Nov. 26, 1612, respectively; and certification of fidelity to original text by Murcia de la Llana, dated Nov. 19, 1612 in Madrid. Dedication to Doctor Don Alvaro de Caruajal, chaplain of the abbey of Santa Leocadia of the Catedral de Toledo on leaf [3], followed by the author's prologue, a short biography of Epictetus, and four poems addressed to the dedicatee and to the translator.
