| Summary: | Peicovich interviews storyteller and tango singer María Héguiz. Héguiz talks of the work she has done traveling in cities of Salta, San Pedro, and Tilcara, in Argentina. She and Peicovich discuss how actively people hear and tell stories. She talks about how her career as an actress urged her to pursue her career as a singer and writer. Peicovich interviews writer, translator, and teacher Jenaro Taléns. Taléns was born in Tarifa, Andalucia, Spain in 1946. He has translated the work of Shakespeare, Beckett, Holderlin, Goethe, Wallace Stevens, Hermann Hesse, and German Expressionists. Taléns explains the commonalities between his professions as writer, translator, and teacher. He explains how poetry gives the ability to transcend and how a poems creative thought process occurs. He also explains what he attempts to do as a translator and how he goes about it. Peicovich reads the inside cover of Cenizas de sentido by Taléns. Taléns explains why he is anti-autobiographical poetry, but he explains the way in which his work is relevant to him. |
