Description
Summary:Esteban Peicovich interviews Gustavo Bernstein. They briefly discuss the concepts behind North American circus traditions. Bernstein talks about the turmoil of the 1930s that followed Sarrasani's German circus owner. He and Peicovich discuss the bombing of Dresden during WWII that received little media attention. Bernstein explains how the circus moved from father to son to his son's widow, and how Trude Sarrasani (widow), kept the circus alive in Argentina. Trude is originally from Switzerland, but currently resides in Argentina at 88 years of age. Bernstein has written a book over these events published by Biblios. Peicovich reads a poem by Hugo Caamaño entitled Su nombre era paloma. Peicovich interviews Hugo Caamaño. Caamaño tells of writing approach/tendencies and what he feels his new book Dios reflects. Caamaño reads his poem La gran obsession. Peicovich commemorates Adolfo de Obieta, who passed away two weeks ago at 90 years of age. Peicovich airs a previous interview with Obieta. Obieta presents a possible alias for Borges and he explains why he does not share his father's last name. He talks about what Macedonio was like as a father. He also talks about the events that followed his mother's death including how he and his siblings were raised and of his father's whereabouts. Obieta shares the little information he knows about his grandfather.
