Summary:Esteban Peicovich interviews Gonzalo Rojas. Rojas talks about how he began writing and of the creation of poetry. Peicovich and Rojas discuss the structure of Rojas's writing and Rojas explains title of his first work La miseria del hombre. Peicovich contrasts Rojas with Cesar Vallejo in terms of their writing tone. Rojas talks about the short friendships he had with other writers such as with Nicanor Parra in 1946, while Parra was writing Poemas y Antipoemas, as well as other writers. Rojas talks about the forces that influence him to write poetry and how his Chilean culture fundamentally influences his writing style. He then reads some of his own work.
