| Summary: | Esteban Peicovich reads a text by Jorge Ferreira, who is published weekly in El Mundo de Veriso. Peicovich interviews Santiago Espel and David Birenbaum. Espel was born in Capital Federal, Argentina in 1960. Birenbaum was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1964, lived in Corrientes, Argentina until 1986, and has since resided in Buenos Aires, where he teaches Biology and gets to work with children from 13 to 17 years of age. Since 1990, Espel has been directing the literary magazine and book collection, La Carta de Oliver. Espel talks about motivational forces that urge him to write. He talks about how his magazine got started and what it is all about. Peicovich reads an excerpt from a poem by Espel and Espel recites some of his own work as well. Peicovich recites a short saying by Birenbaum. Birenbaum talks about the use of humor in poetry and of how the title for Pure de seclipe y telloca (1995) came to be. He also recites some of his own work. |
