| Summary: | Esteban Peicovich reads a short story by 56-year-old author, once editor and librarian, Juan Martini, entitled Fuera de foco. Peicovich interviews Martini. Martini was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina in 1944. His work has been published in Spanish in Argentina, Spain, and Cuba and have been translated into Slovene, Dutch, French, Italian, and German. He was awarded the Municipal Prize in Literature in 1989 and the Boris Vian prize in 1991. Martini talks about his interest in Jazz, about particular instruments and artists. He shares of when he began writing, and when that writing turned into a continuous clarity. He also talks about the importance the author has taken in literature, such as in his latest work El autor intelectual and earlier work La maquina de escribir. Martini explains his selection of short stories for his work Obelisco and its structure. Peicovich reads a fragment of El autor intelectual and Martini expands on its content. |
