Peicovich interviews Juan Carlos Gómez who has authored a collection of letters entitled Cartas a un amigo Argentino. The collection consists of letters exchanged between Gombrowicz and Ernesto Sabato within the first two years Gombrowicz left Argentina. Gómez talks about the life and work of Gombrowicz. He also talks about how the Argentine people delayed realization of what is important, such as Gombrowicz's work. He also tells of the publishing of Gombrowicz's work, and explains how Gombrowicz's work is to be understood in Argentina. He describes Gombrowicz's personality and characteristics, and also tells of his goals. |
