Description
Summary:Esteban Peicovich continues his interview with Adolfo de Obieta. Peicovich describes the style and themes in Macedonio Fernandez's work. He reads a memory of Macedonio by Leopoldo Marechal from Hablan de Macedonio Fernandez. Obieta explains why original works by Macedonio continue to be published so many years after his death and of those yet to be deciphered. He talks about some of the first works Macedonio lived to see published including No toda es vigilia and Una novela que comienza. He also tells of other authors that influence Macedonio and talks about Macedonio's work for a wartime magazine. Obieta addresses the popular culture which Macedonio never presented in his writing or enjoyed during his life. Other than Spanish, Macedonio knew English, French, Italian and German. He tells of Macedonio's acquaintances and of his peaceful death.
