Description
Summary:Esteban Peicovich reads an article from Punto de Encuentro. Mercedes Roffé interviews writer Albalucía Angel. Angel was born in Pereira, Colombia in 1939. Since 1974 she has lived in London, Italy, Spain, France, and Scandinavia. Angel explains why she distanced herself from writing for so long and explains what she had been doing throughout the time in which she has resided in various countries. She expresses how she views New York and the whole United States, and how this view makes her unsure about how she can approach writing after so long. Angel reads an excerpt from Las Andariagas (1982). Among Angel's works include storybook Oh, gloria inmarcesible, three theatrical works, two poetry books, and four novels including Dos veces Alicia (1972), Misia Senora (1982), Estaban la pajara pinta sentada en el verde limon, and Las Andariegas, which is the only work with further mentioning of its content. Peicovich gives a brief description of poet Jose Lezama Lima and a recording of Lezama Lima reciting his own work is played.
