| Summary: | Esteban Peicovich interviews poet Antonio Requeni, who also does work across the archipelago. Requeni talks about the premature publishing of his first book at the age of twenty, and since, how he arrived at his latest anthology. Although he was born in San Critobal, in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina, he spent his early childhood in Valencia, Spain where he had several Spanish influences such as Juan Ramon, Federico Garcia Lorca, Vicente Aleixandre, Pedro Salinas, and Miguel Hernandez. Requeni favors poets of the Spanish language to translations. He also talks about what is failing in contemporary literature and what elements have sustained throughout centuries. Peicovich reads a poem by Requeni, El vaso de agua. |
