He was a professor of German literature at the University of Buenos Aires and the University of La Plata. Peicovich and Modern discuss the expressionist movement that took place in materialistic Germany between the end of the 19th century and the start of WWI. They discuss what the movement consisted of and of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch's participation in this movement with his painting The Scream. Modern is a member of the Argentina Academy of Literature and has published numerous books including, Distanciado cielo, Levantate y canta, Asi de esta manera, De lamparas y fuentes, De blanco y negro, and Ascension de lo grave, none of which are discussed. |
