Peicovich interviews Angelica Gorodischer, who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1928. She talks about her first experiences with reading and writing, and later experiences during her education that led her to become a writer. They discuss storytelling as a lie and writing as a necessity for all people. Gorodischer talks about the impact or message she tries to execute through her writing. She continues to enjoy the works of authors such as Jorge Luis Borges and Virginia Woolf. Some of her works, which are not discussed, include Cuentos con soldados (1965), Las pelucas (1968), Trafalgar (1979), and Kalpa Imperial (1983). The works which are most dear to her include Floreros de Albastro, alfombras de Bokhara and Jugo de Mango. She currently lives in Rosario in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina, where she has spent her whole life. |
