Each man would write a line or two, then pass the manuscript to another, who'd write another line, and so on. This type of amusement, which they called "Inepties poëtiques," lent itself to burlesque and licentious themes.
Item Description:Poems written in three hands. Each collaboration is distinguished from the others by a different font: the writing of Pierre Louÿs is respresented in "romain gras" (bold Roman); that on Henri Regnier, in "romain demi-gras<" (regular Roman), and that of A.-F. Herold in italics.

Contains facsimiles of the title page and of the "Sonnet pour le Trésor poétique des jeunes filles," from the manuscript on which this edition is based.
